beauteous visage,

I am not barren

I am not barren .

My fecundity has not dwindled yet.

Enough as before to bringforth blossoms of all sorts and I do .

Alas ! Frequent invasions of atrocious autumn

Debilitates their potency to bloom in full

To show my greatness in their daintiness and redolence

That would once captivate aves from overseas

To warble in praise of my nature.

O Heaven! Free me from this brutish autumn,

Can’t endure it any more .

To glitter with my flair

Let clement spring reign over me.

Biographies of Poets

Latika Singha, ever enchanted by the written and spoken ' word ', lives in jaipur, with her green friends, friends with paws and some spirited fellow humans. She is also besotted by expression in hindustani.. and absorbs herself, reading and writing in this lovely language too..

Jahnavi Gogoi’s poetry has been published in Haiku Corner by The Japan Society, Shadow Pond Journal, The Leaf Journal, haikuNetra, Scarlet Dragonfly Journal, Cold Moon Journal, The Usawa Literary review, Borderless Journal, The Chakkar, Poems India, Lothlorien Poetry Journal among others. She won the first prize in the poetry writing competition organized by the Chandigarh Literary Society in the year 2022 for her poem ‘If this isn’t love’. She writes a lot about her native state of Assam, India, having spent her early childhood years in the shadow of the Patkai hills in northeast India. Jahnavi now lives in the beautiful town of Ajax in Ontario, Canada with her husband and daughter.

Jennifer Gurney lives in Colorado where she teaches, paints, writes and hikes. Her poetry has appeared in a variety of journals, including Daily Verse, The Ravens Perch, HaikUniverse, Haiku Corner, Cold Moon Journal, Scarlet Dragonfly and The Haiku Foundation.

Govind Joshi is a mariner and navigates ships around the world for a living. He lives in Dehradun, India and loves nature, gardening, travel and poetry. His Japanese short form poetry has been published in many fine print and online journals including Frogpond, Presence, cattails and chrysanthemum.

Shafkat Aziz Hajam is a poet, reviewer and co-author. He is the author of two children poetry collections titled as The Cuckoo’s Voice, The Canary’s Voice and The Unknown Wounded Heart. His poems have appeared in international magazines and anthologies like Wheel song anthology UK, Prodigy, digital literary magazine USA, Inner Child Press International anthology USA, SAARC anthology etc. He has also written more than hundred funny limericks for children. Currently, he is working as a private school English language teacher.
